Today's blog-a-nette comes from Numbers 13-14.
God told Moses, 'Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel'.
Forty days later the spies returned with a report of what they saw and experienced. 'we came to the land to which you sent us. It flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit.' They saw the promise land in which God told them a couple verses ago he would give them.
But, then the report when from promise to fear. Verse 28 began with 'however'. And, the reporters began to explain how the land was filled with strong people and opposition.
Here's the big deal, in matter of forty days and fear the people forgot the promise of God. They saw, experienced, and tasted of the promise land, but fear crippled them. They ended up crying out that instead of marching onward towards the promise land, they wanted to go back to slavery in Egypt.
Not sure, what promises of God you need to be reminded of today, but I will say this, 'God is not man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?' Numbers 23:19
Don't look at the promises of God and say to him 'However'. Probably would be a bad idea for you. Trust, Obey, and Believe God today, whatever circumstance or situation you are in, remember the promises of God.
(Also, 'blog-a-net' = blog sermonette)
Hello, here's the usual spot you'd hear about me in a cutting edge type of way with some engaging terminology. You'd probably see some buzz words in the mix as well, but let's keep it simple.
I figured out that a bloganette was a blog sermonette all on my own even before I got to the explanation. Im proud of myself
